The rest of Laycon’s career might not even be as an Artiste and here’s why.

Fine, laycon came into the big brother house to get himself promoted as a rapper and push his just released EP but ever since he won, he hasn’t really been focused on music per say.

Trust me if there’s any opportunity an artiste should grab to release projects it’s the huge fame that comes with winning BBN. 

But laycon isn’t taking that advantage, not like he doesn’t know he should, but I feel it’s not part of “The Plan”.

Some might think it’s not a good idea for his career, but trust me, it’s a very smart move, and here’s why.

1. Laycon is good but he’s not special. Let’s face the facts, judging from his last 2 projects (Who is Laycon? & Any Given Monday), there’s nothing unique about his music, he’s not something we’ve not seen before. The Nigerian Music industry is Saturated with Exceptional artistes, that for you to thrive, you

need to constantly do what others can’t do, but what does Laycon do that other rappers can’t, even better? (Beautiful pieces of work btw , especially AGM, Laycon went hard!)
2. The Nigerian Rap industry isn’t profitable anymore. Lmao, I no need to shalaye on this sha, but there’s a reason Dremo calls himself “Rapper wey dey sing song” on every track. (As per, “make una dey sabi say I sabi sing too oo, just incase this rap thing no work out"

)
Also explains why Blaqbonez tried a new sound on his last two tracks, and Vector releasing a joint ‘Hip-Hop’ EP with Masterkraft (Mastaa) Basically, there’s little or no buzz around it anymore. Nobody really listens to rappers anymore unless they have some beef going on.
Even if that’s going to change, it’s going to take a very long time. So Laycon venturing into that industry now, is very detrimental to his fresh career. That’s why I really love the idea of his Reality show coming up, which is going to feature everything about laycon since he left the Big brother house. Now we’re going to be more focused on laycon as a proper ‘Celebrity’. Discussions around him will be majorly mainstream. And I see no reason why in the next few year, we can’t bring him into discussion with ..global reality shows like “Keeping up with the Kardashians”

(okay, I was a bit over-optimistic there, but we can’t predict Laycon and his team, BBN says it all)
